Motorola launches the new Moto G15, G15 Power and Moto G05, affordable smartphones with high-capacity batteries

Motorola is expanding the Moto G series with three new models: the G15, G15 Power and G05, entry-level smartphones with generous batteries and Android 15 pre-installed.

The Moto G15 and G15 Power share largely the same hardware specs, with the main differences being in the battery. The Moto G15 G15 is more compact and lighter, with a 5200 mAh battery, while the G15 Power increases battery life with a 6000 mAh battery, sacrificing a bit of design finesse. But the differences are minimal: the G15 Power is 8.8mm thick compared to 8.2mm on the G15 and weighs 203g compared to 190g.

Both devices are equipped with a 6.72″ Full HD+ 6.72″ LCD Full HD+ display, a 50 MP main camera, a 5 MP ultrawide camera and an 8 MP front-facing camera, integrated in a discreet hole in the display.

On the performance side, the phones are based on the Helio G81 platform, which is considered outdated for today's demands, especially in combination with the only 4 GB of RAM. The two models are limited to 4G connectivity and use an octa-core processor clocked up to 2.0 GHz. For internal storage, users have 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB variants available, with the possibility of expansion via microSD card.

Features considered rare in premium phones include a 3.5mm audio jack and FM radio tuner. In contrast, NFC connectivity and dual SIM support are much more common.

Motorola's new Moto G15 series from Motorola is available in Gravity Gray, Iguana Green and Sunrise Orange color variants, all featuring a plastic-finished back cover design.

The Motorola Moto G05, a more affordable priced model, will only be available in select markets. It retains much of the specs of the Moto G15, including the chipset, 4GB of RAM, microSD and dual SIM support, but cuts costs with a more modestly finished design. Additionally, NFC will only be included in certain regions. The base model comes equipped with 64 GB of storage.
